HARTFORD — Police arrested two people, seized three firearms and a large quantity of heroin Wednesday in a raid that covered two towns.

Police used a search warrant to enter an apartment on 277 Buckingham St. in Hartford and arrested Abdul Callwood,41, and Kristine Thompson, 23, of Windsor  and seized 1497  bags of heroin.

Police determined there was a stash of heroin and a packaging operation at the Flamingo Inn in Windsor. Windsor police assisted the operation and investigators located 18 grams of raw heroin and packaging materials in the motel.

Authorities were also able to seize a loaded .40 caliber firearm, a loaded .25 caliber firearm, a loaded SKS rifle, which they said was stolen out of Oregon, numerous rounds of ammunition, 64 grams of raw heroin and packaging material from a third location at 112 Ward St.

Callwood was charged with possession of an assault weapon, three counts of criminal possession of a firearm, possession of high-capacity magazine, possession of stolen firearm, possession of narcotics, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

Thompson, was charged with possession of narcotics, conspiracy sale of narcotics, and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.
