WEST HARTFORD - Wednesday was ‘‘National Signing Day”, but Thursday a post script for some prep school players. In West Hartford, at Kingswood Oxford, the New England prep champion “Wyverns” took pen to paper.

Coach Jason Martinez and company are sending eight players to the next level.

Among the college-bound athletes are linebacker Koby Quansah, who got offers from schools including Notre Dame, Michigan and Syracuse. Quansah signed to play at Duke.

"Great academics, first and foremost, great atmosphere.  A great environment and a football program on the come up like K.O.," Quansah said about his selection.

Wide receiver Isaiah Wright got offers from Ohio State, Wisconsin and Boston College but Wright said the choice for him was to head to Philly and play at Temple in the fall.

"I feel like they're going to help develop me as a better person, academically, as well as on the field," said Wright. "I'm just excited to advance myself."

Kingswood linebacker Andrew Lemkuil will play at Dartmouth, QB Jacob Hallenbeck signed with Marist, wide receiver Jared Bolden is headed to Pace, defensive back Nye Deskus will play at Bowdoin.

Linebacker Andre Jett and lineman Alex Smoolka both have Division III offers but have yet to decide where they will play.
