After an extremely mild start to the winter, the season is here in full force. But so far, we've seen nothing like we did this time of year in 2013.
2016 and 2013 are similar in that winter had been otherwise quiet until February. But that's when a huge Nor'easter strengthened as it passed near us, dropping some of the highest snow totals every recorded in Connecticut.
The storm hit on a Friday night and kept snowing into Saturday. Roads around the state were still impassable all the way until Monday. Up to 40 inches of snow fell across parts of central and southern Connecticut, with Milford, North Haven, and Hamden seeing the highest totals.
