COLCHESTER -- The temperatures are cold, but the hearts are warm on the Colchester Town Green this weekend.
Four guys are "freezin for a reason" from Friday through Sunday afternoon. They're camping out on the green, braving sub-zero temperatures in the name of charity.
"We're able to help those folks who, otherwise, might not make it through the winter," said Stan Soby, a participant. "We know there are folks who struggle, that have needs, that sometimes go without heat or have to make the choice between food head and medication and that's a tough choice to make."
The guys are camping out to raise money and awareness for the Colchester Fuel Bank's assistance fund, which helps people pay for their home heating bills when they run into difficult financial situations.
"It's the right thing to do," said Rob Suchecki. "There's people that need our help and we're able to do it, so...why not?"
