SHERMAN — Around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday evening, Sherman Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire on Deer Hill Rd.
When fire crews arrived, the blaze was fully involved throughout the house. Everyone made it out safely and there were no reported injuries. The home is a total loss.
Crews from New Fairfield, New Milford, Gaylordsville, and Roxbury assisted the Sherman department in battling the fire.
Crews had to also endure cold temperatures that night, as overnight lows dropped to -10 degrees.
There is still no word on what caused the fire.
