WEST HAVEN -- A tractor-trailer accident closed two lanes of I-95 north in West Haven for a good portion of the day.
The truck was blocking the road near the New Haven West Haven town line near exit 44. During the morning commute, the entire travel lane had been closed.
TCrews responded to the accident around 3:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The truck was carrying orange juice and the Department Consumer Protection was contacted. There was also a fuel leak, so the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection responded to the scene. Also, a light pole was knocked down. All of the issues combined led to a full day of delays and on-and-off closures.
There were no reported injuries.
