WILLIMANTIC – Police are warning drivers about a water main break and developing sinkhole on Memorial Drive near the intersection of High Street.
The Windham Water Department is assessing and correcting the problem.
The road is being closed in that area for several hours while repairs are being made.
Due to the close proximity of the water main break to Eastern Connecticut State University, drivers are being asked to stay away from the area until the issue is resolved.
