WEST HAVEN — Police have made an arrest in the death of a woman over the weekend.
Police arrested Gerard Edward Crosley, 37, West Haven.
Crosley has been charged with murder and risk of injury to a minor, in connection with the death of Keneata Nicholas, 26 on Saturday.
West Haven police officers went to an apartment building at 89 Coleman Street early Saturday morning. Upon entering one of the units, they discovered Nicholas dead.
Police say the victim sustained ‘significant injuries’ immediately prior to her death, consistent with a knife or sharp object.
Crosley is being held on $2 million bond and will next appear in court on March 8.
