How Classical Magnet School helps prepare students for college

HARTFORD -- Education is one of the most important part's of a child's life. Here in Connecticut, families from more than 40 towns are taking advantage of Hartford's magnet schools.

Classical Magnet School is a college prep liberal arts school that gets students ready for college. Teacher Troy Stair and Senior Maggie Lamson joined FOX 61's Good Day Connecticut to talk about the school.

There are 20 magnet schools in the Hartford region that families residing both in and out of Hartford can access free of charge. That also includes free transportation from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

There is a wide variety of theme based schools ranging from STEM to Journalism & Media to Performing Arts.
