Returning to her roots, the first-ever "American Idol" Kelly Clarkson made a magnificent return in honor of the last season of the show.
Kelly sat at the judges' table with Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. all night, providing feedback as the pool was whittled down to 10 contestants.
All season the show's creators, host and judges have said they are searching for the book-end to Kelly Clarkson, who was a powerhouse singer that made a real name for herself in the industry with several hit singles and albums.
It wasn't the first time the singer who made "A Moment Like This" famous had came back for an appearance. Just last year she popped up to mentor the contestants, including Nick Fradiani, the Guilford-native and eventual season 14 winner.
At the end of the episode, Kelly jumped up on stage and sang her own song "Piece By Piece," which you can see above. She even brought J.Lo and Keith to tears with her powerful rendition.
