Waterbury third grader dies suddenly

WATERBURY — A third grade student died suddenly Thursday according to school officials.

Officials said the student attended Duggan School. The child died at an after-school program involving students from multiple schools. The student’s name was not released.

The district said they brought in grief counselors to help students and staff.
