High pressure will slide over the region Sunday and then drift south and east over the Atlantic Ocean during the next several days. The clockwise circulation around high pressure will transport milder spring-like temperatures into New England next week.

Sunday will feature a quite seasonal day under partly to mostly sunny skies.  A light wind will make it feel a bit warmer than Saturday.

As we head into next week, get ready for our spring-fling weather as temperatures soar into the 50s and 60s Monday and Tuesday, respectively.  Wednesday will be the pick of week with some towns flirting with 70° before a cold front slowly moves through the area Thursday with showers and slightly cooler temperatures.  Friday sunshine returns with temperatures back in the 50's which is still on the mild side for the time of year.

Tonight: Partly to mostly cloudy. Low: 20's.

Sunday:  Early clouds, then partly to mostly sunny. High: 40-45. Wind:  Light

Monday: Mostly sunny. This will be the start of an impressive warming trend. High: Low 50s.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, warmer. High: Low 60s.

Wednesday: A mix of sun and clouds, mild and pleasant.  High: 65-70.

Thursday:  Mostly cloudy with the chance for showers.  High: 50s.

Friday: Partly sunny.  High: 50s.
