NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The jury has reached a verdict in the civil suit lodged by sportscaster Erin Andrews.

A nude video and photos of Andrews were posted online in 2009 by a convicted stalker, Michael Barrett. Andrews sued Barrett and the owner and former operator of the Nashville Marriott, where the video was filmed.

Though Andrews asked for $75 million, she was awarded $55 million by the jury.

Jurors had been asked to deliberate whether the hotel companies were at all responsible for Barrett recording the video.

Andrews is known for her sportscasting on Fox Sports and for co-hosting “Dancing with the Stars.”

She tearfully testified during the trial that she was publicly humiliated, shamed and suffers from depression as a result of the videos, which have been viewed by millions of people.

Attorneys for the owner and former operator of the Marriott at Vanderbilt argued that while what happened to Andrews was terrible, Barrett should be solely to blame for the video shot in 2008.

However, jurors decided they should all share the blame. Barrett was decided to be responsible for 51 percent of the verdict, and the owner and former operator are responsible for hte rest.
