Caught on camera: Plainville police looking for man in fight that injured woman, teen boy

PLAINVILLE -- Police are looking for a man involved in a fight at a restaurant over the weekend that left a woman and a teenage boy injured.

Police said a fight erupted Saturday around 8:30 p.m. at the Imperial Buffet on New Britain Avenue in Plainville. An argument between two groups in the restaurant began when one man allegedly made comments about a woman in the other group. The groups moved outside and the argument escalated.

Luis Santiago, 47, of New Britain, punched a woman in the face according to police. He was arrested and released on bond and will appear in court on March 15.

Police want to identify the man in a red shirt, seen in a video from a witness, who assaulted the teen. The unidentified man was in the same group as Santiago and police said he punched a 15-year-old boy rendering him unconscious. The unidentified man also punched the woman, knocking her to the ground.

The teen was taken to the hospital and the woman, who suffered injuries to her face, declined further treatment.
