WATERBURY--Police are searching for the suspect in a shooting that left one man injured last week.

On Wednesday, March 9, at 7:24 p.m. a fight broke out in front of a convenience store located at the corner of Bank and West Porter streets.

A 17-year-old male was shot in the foot and was treated at the hospital for injuries that aren't life threatening. In the video above you can see him shot in the foot and then hop away.

Police say this was not a gang-related fight, but they are unsure what the motive was.

The weapon and suspect have not been found, and police say the suspect is therefore considered "armed and dangerous." He is described as a black man between 18 and 20 years old, about 5-foot-8 with short hair. He was wearing a blue OBEY hoodie.

If you see or recognize the suspect do not approach him, but please call Waterbury Police at 203-574-6941 or contact the department on social media.
