WEST HARTFORD -- The generosity of others inspired a West Hartford family in a profound way.
"There's just a team of people — with no notice — who will just show up at our house with food, with coloring books for the kids, taking the kids, picking up the kids," explains Laura Moran, a mother of five children.
Six years ago, Laura and her husband, Dan, pledged to pay-it-forward. With friends, Dan and Kelly Clark, founded a 5K event with a St. Patrick's Day theme. A fun and important tradition, coming up on March 19, was born.
