Police searching for suspect who hit officer with his car in Torrington

TORRINGTON — An officer was treated and released for minor injuries after being  hit by a car being driven by a suspect trying to drive away.

Around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night, an officer was attempting to serve warrants on Kyle Treadway, 26, near 400 East Main Street. Police said the suspect hit the officer and drove off on Route 8 Northbound. He has not been located.

The officer was treated at the hospital and released. The warrants being served were for narcotics and failure to appear in court.

Police said Treadway is operating  a blue 1997 Volkswagen Golf with CT plate 264 XUE.
