HARTFORD–Community members and leaders turned out in droves Tuesday night to honor those killed in a double homicide over the weekend.

Dozens gathered after two separate shootings on Martin Street this weekend, one of which was a double-homicide. The victim in the other shooting will be okay.

Friends and family of Jeffrey Vail and William Ward remembered the victims, but community members were also on hand to call for an end to gun violence.

Vail and Ward were in a parked car when they were shot several times around 2 a.m. on Saturday.

Police are still looking for leads to solve both cases, and ask anyone with information to please call the department.
