CHESHIRE - It's March Madness, and we've already seen unbelievable comebacks, buzzer-beaters, and a whole lot of slam dunks.

Dunks earned Connecticut's own Elijah Pemberton, 18, a trip to Houston.

Pemberton, a basketball star at Cheshire Academy, is one of an Elite 8 who will compete over the Final Four weekend at the 2016 American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk Championship.

At 6'4'', Pemberton has a whole repertoire of dunks, but he said he has something special for the competition.

"I have been working on a dunk, I'm pretty sure that somebody saw before, but it's going to be really rare," Pemberton said.

The competition will be broadcasted nationally on Saturday, April 3, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Pemberton has committed to Hostra University where he'll be their starting point guard.
