Two men killed in separate Hartford crashes

One man was killed in a crash on Asylum Avenue early Friday morning.

The accident happened just before 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Asylum Avenue and Woodside Circle. Police found a 2009 Infiniti G37 along the south curb of Asylum with severe front and driver side damage from hitting a tree.

The driver, Adrian Graves, 36, of Clifford Street in Hartford was partially ejected from the vehicle and was unresponsive. He was pronounced deceased on scene at 1:35 a.m.

Graves’ female passenger was extricated by the Hartford Fire Department and taken to St. Francis Hospital with serious injuries.

Traffic was reduced to one lane on Asylum Avenue inbound and police advised commuters to avoid the area.

The Hartford Fire Department extracted two passengers and they were taken to Hartford Hospital.
