HARTFORD — The Department of Administrative Services will hold more community meetings in eastern Connecticut to measure interest in hosting a state police firearms training facility.

A meeting is planned for April 4 at Sayles School to discuss two proposed sites in Sprague. Another meeting is planned for April 6 in Hampton at the town’s community center to discuss parcels in that town.

The existing training facility in Simsbury experiences regular flooding problems.

Maps concerning the potential locations will be available at both events. State police and DAS officials will make remarks. Members of the public will be allowed to ask questions.

Several meetings were recently held in Voluntown, Griswold and Canterbury to discuss possible sites in those communities.
