South Windsor police search for woman who crashed into 79-year-old in his driveway

SOUTH WINDSOR–Police are asking for witnesses to come forward after a person was hit by a car that drove off on Wednesday morning.

Around 9:15 a.m. police responded to reports of an injured person lying on the ground in the driveway for the Berry Patch apartments, near the intersection of Oakland Road and Felt Road. This is just behind a business plaza and former gas station.

The victim, a 79-year-old man, had his head cut open, but refused medical treatment. He said he was knocked over by a gray or silver sedan, which was being driven by a woman.

Police are trying to find the person responsible, or anyone who may have witnessed the incident. If you have information please call 860-644-2511.
