BLOOMFIELD - When Elizabeth Sullivan was in her early 20s, she was living in California, attempting to find work as an actress, paying the bills by waiting tables at bars.
"It was a party lifestyle … we did a lot of drugs," she explains. "Then I got stuck on meth. Or, meth got stuck on me. It got really dark, really quick. ... One day, after being awake for a few days, I called my mom here in Connecticut and I said, 'You know, I'm not having fun anymore, help me please.'"
She traveled home and went to a rehabilitation facility in Litchfield County. Through all of her ups and downs, there was a saving grace: her passion for yoga.
