EAST HARTFORD —  Police are looking for a suspect who they say shot and killed a man last month.

Officials say James Burrill killed Jerome Mack back on March 25 on Smith Drive.

Police have an arrest warrant for Burrill.

They say he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting took place near 107 Smith Drive around 6:15 p.m. after at least two 9-1-1 calls were placed to police reporting shots fired nearby.

Responding units found Mack inside the residence with a gunshot wound to the chest. Paramedics were unable to revive him. Mack was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital.
