MIDDLETOWN–Police say that they are looking into the possibility that they found an SUV connected to a hit-and-run that left a woman dead last week.

On March 31 Barbara Eddinger, 61, was at her mailbox on Chamberlain Road when she was hit by a car that had crossed the center line. The car drove off and Eddinger was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

In a press release from the Middletown Police Department, it says that they do have a dark blue SUV in custody and that it is a vehicle of interest, but they haven’t determined if it is the car they were looking for. The owner of the car is cooperating with officers.

However, police ask that anyone with any information at all please still come forward because this may not be the car. If you see a dark blue SUV with damage or have information, please call 860-638-4000.
