LEDYARD — A standoff involving a man who barricaded himself inside his home is over tonight. The Ledyard Police Department, along with Connecticut State Police, responded to a home on Stonybrook Road Saturday evening after a man barricaded himself inside after a domestic dispute.

Lieutenant Creutz with the Ledyard Police Department said that police responded to the home after woman called police after fleeing a domestic dispute. The woman suffered minor injury, and called police. The man was still inside, and unstable.

Police had set up a perimeter around the house and established communications to talk him into coming outside.

No neighbors were evacuated, but a call went out explaining the situation and to advise people to stay inside their homes. There was no danger to the public and Stonybrook Road was closed during the incident.
