HARTFORD -- The UConn women's victory parade and rally Sunday brought the community and Husky fans from across the state together. But, there was a sour moment when Gov. Dannel Malloy took the stage.
"This is great," Gov. Malloy said as boos drowned out his microphone. "This is number six. I want to congratulate the whole team on the great job that they've done!" The UConn women have won six of their eleven national titles while Malloy has been in office.
Quinnipiac University conducted their most recent approval poll for Gov. Malloy in October.
Connecticut voters disapprove 58 - 32 percent of the job Gov. Malloy is doing, his lowest approval rating ever and the lowest score for any governor in the nine states surveyed this year by the independent Quinnipiac University Poll. The governor gets 4-1 negative scores for the way he his handling taxes and the state budget.
