Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara bought a pair of red high heels and wears them proudly once a year for a great cause.

He joined FOX 61 Good Day Connecticut to talk about in the "Walk A Mile in Her Shoes" event in Fairfield.  This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 30 at 8:30 a.m.

You’ll be able to see the Chief and other men wearing high heels and walking down Fairfield’s roads.  The walk aims to raise awareness about domestic and sexual violence against women.  Fairfield’s walk is in partnership with The Center for Family Justice, a center that provides support and services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse.
