NORWICH — Police are looking for help in identifying a man’s remains that were found earlier in the month.

Police have not determined how the death occurred and the police are considering it suspicious in nature.

Police believe the man was Caucasian and 35-40 years old.  They said he was between 5’8″ and six feet tall, and had surgery on his ankle. Police said the remains had been in the area for about six months prior to being  found in early April in a wooded area off of Norwich Avenue and Hunters Road.

When he was found, he had been wearing a long-sleeved white t-shirt, Wrangler jeans with a 32-34 inch waist and size 10 1/2 black Avia sneakers with white soles.

Norwich police and the State of Connecticut, Division of Scientific Services are investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to call Investigator Maldonado or Officer Barber at 860-886-5561 extension 156 or 157.
