HARTFORD--Employees of Kaman Corporation are spending a couple of day giving back the community of Hartford.

The aerospace company, which is headquartered in Bloomfield, partnered with Habitat for Humanity to help build a house on Enfield Street in the North End of Hartford. Everything from landscaping to painting is being done before a new family moves in later on this year.

Professional carpenters have helped the company and the nonprofit build the home, and FOX 61 photojournalist Jeff Langan got to watch them at work.

Kaman is hoping to continue to partner with Habitat for Humanity again in the future, to help build more homes for families who are in need.

This is not the only charity that Kaman has done in the area. The company partners with the Travelers Championship, and in 2014 had a hiring fair for veterans, who make up about 50 percent of the company's staff. The company also created a pilotless helicopter called the K-Max, which is to be used to help fight wildfires.
