11-year-old girl missing since Friday found unharmed

A silver alert was issued for Jasmin Fagundo, 11, of Meriden.

MERIDEN — An 11-year-old girl who went missing Friday has returned home safely.

Meriden Police originally responded to 147 Olive Street on Saturday around 10 p.m. on reports of a missing juvenile. The woman residing at the home told officers that her daughter, Jasmin Fagundo, was missing and had not been seen since leaving for school early Friday.

Police had issued a silver alert as of Sunday morning and initiated a search for the girl. Eventually, she was located unharmed and then reunited with her family members.

The investigation was subsequently closed and the silver alert canceled. Further inquiries are to be directed to Meriden Police Department detectives at (203) 630-6215.
