SIMSBURY — A student was struck by a vehicle near Simsbury High School Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 7:20 a.m. The female victim was taken to the St. Francis Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition according to police.
Police said the 16-year-old was crossing Farms Village Road when she was hit She was taken to the hospital, but later released with no significant injuries. The driver of the vehicle stopped immediately and is cooperating with investigators.
The high school is located on Farms Village Road. The victim attends the high school according to police.
Farms Village Road was closed for a short period during the investigation, but has since been reopened.
