PORTLAND —  If you are looking for a breakfast or lunch spot with homemade dishes all over the menu, Sarah’s on Main in Portland is the answer.

Tucked in a quaint old house on Main Street, Sarah’s has been serving up cooked-to-order meals with local flavor for two years.

Whether it’s vegetables from farms in the area or  kielbasa from a butcher shop just up the road, this hot spot’s dishes are bursting with flavor and will tickle your taste buds.

Known for breakfast perfection, owner Sarah Weeden plates traditional dishes with a twist. On the special menu is a crab cake eggs Benedict, topped with fresh avocado, hollandaise sauce, shaved red onion and diced tomato.

“Why have a regular dish when you can turn up the flavor,” said Weeden. “Instead of a regular egg sandwich, why not add some avocado, cheddar cheese, sautéed spinach and garlic to it?”

Weeden has been in the food industry for 23 years in jobs ranging from cook to restaurant supervisor.  Now, she caters to, not just the people of Portland, but customers that come from all over the state.

She has a taste for everyone, from homemade toasted coconut pineapple muffins to maple cream cheese and bacon stuffed French toast or any breakfast or lunch dish you want.

Sarah’s even has a wall of hot sauce to liven up your meal, from mild to tongue torching.
