THOMASTON--One Litchfield County town's loss became another town's name.

Once known as Plymouth Hollow, the town of Thomaston became synonymous with Seth Thomas, a clockmaker who was turned away from a neighboring town that refused to improve its roads.

Thomaston became home to one of the country's premier clockmakers, letting the town thrive for generations.

Now, Seth Thomas is the longest established clockmaker in the country.

On this week's Hidden History, FOX 61 photojournalist Mike Townsend takes us to Litchfield County to meet the clockmaker who changed a town's destiny.
