NEW BRITAIN -- Foodie Friday is popping the top at Avery's Beverages in New Britain, home of old-fashioned sodas with a classic taste.
Since 1904, Avery's has been bottling and selling more than 35 flavors of soda, all made with real cane sugar and the finest quality ingredients.
The most popular flavors are cream, root beer, birch beer and ginger ale.
Each flavor is hand-crafted in small batches using the same recipes from generations ago to preserve the old-fashioned taste.
Nestled in an old red barn, the same building with the same equipment used over 100 years ago, Avery's is one of the oldest soda bottling companies in New England.
