NEW LONDON — Monday afternoon police were called to a nursing home in New London after people there reported an intoxicated man displaying a gun.
Police said they were called to Kindred Crossings West nursing home around 4:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found the man had just walked out of the building and they took him into custody.
Paul Bialowas, 66, of Louisiana was in possession of a revolver, police said. His rental car was nearby, and there police found an AR-15 assault weapon, two pistols, assorted ammunition and a large capacity ammunition magazine.
Bialowas never shot off the gun and no one was hurt, but he is facing several charges.

- Possession of large Capacity Magazines (4 counts)
- Reckless Endangerment
- Threatening
- Breach of Peace
He is being held on $75,000 bond.
