MIDDLETOWN — A body found in the Connecticut River Tuesday evening has been identified as a missing teen from Middletown, police said Wednesday.
On May 24 around 5:40 p.m. a couple was fishing when they spotted the body and called police. The Medical Examiners office performed an autospy Wednesday and determined it was Justina Alicea, 19.
Alicea was reported missing Friday, May 20, and a silver alert was issued for her.
She had last been seen on a security camera at the Sunoco Gas Station on Washington Street around 3:45 a.m. on Thursday when she was walking West on Washington Street.
She had a history of mental health issues and was considered endangered.
At this time, no foul play is suspected in her death, police said.
