SOUTH WINDSOR — A middle school in South Windsor was dismissed early on Wednesday morning due to a bomb threat.
The Timothy Edwards Middle School in South Windsor was evacuated at 11 a.m., when South Windsor Superintendent of Schools Kate Carter alerted students’ parents by the district’s SchoolMessenger system.
The bomb threat was called in directly to the Timothy Edwards Middle School, and all other South Windsor schools operated on their regular schedule Wednesday.
Police do not believe it was a credible threat but as a precaution students were relocated to Orchard Hill School and then were dismissed early from Orchard Hill School around noon.
