HARTFORD – Governor Dannel P. Malloy, Lt. Governor Nancy Wyman and other state officials participated in an event Thursday memorializing the Connecticut troops killed in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since the 2001 terrorist attacks.
Established by Wyman in 2007, the Wall of Honor is a permanent memorial that includes photos of 65 Connecticut men and women—service members from all branches of the military who were killed in action.
The memorial ceremony was held at the Wall of Honor in the Capitol Concourse between the Legislative Office Building and the Capitol in Hartford. The event was free and open to the public.
