HARTFORD--Work is far from finished at Dunkin' Donuts Park in Hartford, the future home of the Yard Goats, but construction crews are hard at work to get the stadium completed soon.

While the Yard Goats were originally supposed to play their first home game in mid-May, the team has been playing down at Norwich's Dodd Stadium as construction delays are worked through. Now, it's unclear if the team will get to throw a pitch in Hartford this season.

Both sides say they are committed to completing the stadium, despite some very public arguments and the city calling the developer on its bond. The developer's insurance company has stepped in, and work is ongoing.

Josh Solomon, the owner of the Yard Goats, released a statement Wednesday night: "We support the Mayor and Stadium Authority’s efforts to hold the developer accountable in delivering the ballpark that was promised to Hartford.  While we’ve come a long way, there is still a great deal of work to be done and it needs to be done right."
