HARTFORD  — Connecticut State Police are investigating the death of a 36-year-old West Hartford man whose body was found on the side of Interstate 84 in Hartford.

Trooper Kelly Grant says investigators arrived at the scene around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday and found Mikhal Coleman lying face down on the shoulder of I-84’s eastbound side. Coleman’s Honda Pilot was parked a short distance from his body.

Medics pronounced the father of four dead at the scene. A spokesman from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says Coleman’s death has been ruled accidental and was caused by “blunt force trauma to the head, neck and torso.”

Grant says state police officials are not considering the death as suspicious. He declined to elaborate on the circumstances of Coleman’s injuries.
