TOLLAND — An SUV hit a telephone pole Thursday morning, and resulting in the detour of traffic off of Route 30.
Officials said Route 30 in the area of Willow Creek Drive would be closed through the morning. The accident happened just south of the Ellington town line.
A Toyota 4Runner hit the pole, suffering front end damage and breaking the pole at its base. There was no word on injuries.
Eversource was on the scene to repair the damage.
