HARTFORD - A new Quinnipiac Poll on the 2016 presidential race shows Connecticut voters prefer Hillary Clinton over Republican Donald Trump, by a 7-point margin, but they give both candidates high disapproval ratings. Al and Jenn dig deeper into the data with their guest, Bill Curry, columnist at salon.com, and one-time White House counselor to President Bill Clinton.

People surveyed chose former Secretary of State Clinton over businessman Trump 45 percent to 38 percent.  Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont has more support than Trump, 54 percent versus 35 percent.

"Democratic candidates have won typically by double digit margins," said poll director Douglas Schwartz. "When you see a candidate within seven points, that is within striking distance."
