MONROE — A man was killed after his motorcycle crossed the center line on Monday evening.

Just after 7 p.m. on Monday, Monroe Police responded to a crash involving a 2006 Harley Davidson and a 2013 Land Rover.

The Harley, driven by Forrest Ryan, 24, of Monroe, was driving north on Main Street when it crossed onto the southbound side of traffic and hit the Land Rover, which had three occupants. Ryan was a volunteer firefighter in town.

Ryan wasn’t wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead on scene. Two occupants from the Land Rover were taken to the hospital to be evaluated.

The road was closed for several hours, and police are still investigating what occurred. The Monroe/Trumbull Police Regional Serious Crash Investigation Team is involved.
