EAST HAMPTON — A former Connecticut National Guardsman has been sentenced to prison for recording minor boys engaging in sexual activity.

Authorities say Keith Haessley, of East Hampton, was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years behind bars and a lifetime of probation. The 46-year-old Haessley pleaded guilty in February to using a computer to persuade minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity.

Prosecutors say between August 2013 and June 2015, Haessley posed as a young girl on video chat programs using pre-recorded videos of girls to entice the boys to perform sexual acts. Haessley recorded the boys and sent some of the recordings to a person in Virginia.

A search of Haessley’s computer revealed images and videos depicting more than 950 child victims.

Haessley was a member of the Air National Guard at the time of his arrest.
