Pet of the week – Explorer Star

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

Explorer Star is a 2-month-old domestic shorthair cat.

Kittens are very playful and curious so if you adopt Explorer Star, you will need to “kitten-proof” your home to include placing houseplants out of the way, removing any plants that are toxic to cats and hiding all trailing electrical cables securely under carpets (or taping them to the floor or wall).

Some kittens enjoy the company of other animals, which can be determined by a visit to the shelter.

Explorer Star would be a good choice for adults with kids of any age who are gentle and respectful of pets. She can live in a single family home, condo or apartment.

She will need lots of love and attention to reach her potential as the perfect family pet! For more information on Emmie, contact the CT Humane Society.

The Central CT Pet Fair will be held June 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hubbard Park in Meriden. The free event will feature entertainment, exotic and domestic animals, diverse vendors and a Food Truck Rally. All proceeds benefit the Meriden Rotary Foundation and Saving Paws, Inc., of Meriden.
