WEST HARTFORD – City officials said crews responded to an 8-inch water main break on Albany Avenue in West Hartford on Thursday afternoon.

In order to complete the repair, two 8-inch mains, one on Albany Avenue and one on Sequin Road, had to be shut down, according to city officials.

Twenty-two homes on Albany Avenue, from Myones to Pilgrim, and on Sequin Road, from Albany Ave to Colony, were impacted by the shutdown, which started shortly after 5 p.m., and repairs took a little more than four hours to complete. All service was restored as of 9:30 p.m., and the mains were repaired, according to MDC.
