HARTFORD -- Next Monday, people will be hitting the links and the courts for to help cancer patients, and nursing education.

The 27th Annual Curtis D. Robinson SWING Golf and Tennis Outing will be held on Monday, June 27 at the Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield.  The outing will benefit Nursing Education, the Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity, and special programs at Mount Sinai.  To date, the event has netted over $450,000.

The Curtis D. Robinson Center for Health Equity helps educate men about prostate cancer, performs screenings, and helps men who are diagnosed.

Retired neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson is the honorary chair of this year’s event. Singer Smokey Robinson is also an honorary chair. Actor Clifton Davis and Kool from Kool and Gang will be there.
