One man dead Hampton crash

HAMPTON — One man has died as a result of a crash that happened Thursday afternoon.

Charles Thurlow, 74, of Canterbury died from injuries he suffered when his Ford Focus hit a Volkswagen Passat driven by Michael Kozyra, 40 of Mansfield at the intersection of Route 6 and 97 in Hampton.

Police said around 3:50 p.m., Thrulow’s car entered the path of Kozyra’s car and was struck. Kozyra and Mathilda Thurlow were taken to Windham hospital with minor injuries.

Charles Thurlow was seriously injured, and was taken by LifeStar to Hartford Hospital where he later died.
