GLASTONBURY–A woman is facing charges after defacing another person’s property at a school dance recital.

On June 5, a woman reported to Glastonbury Police that while she was at a dance recital at Smith Middle School, her car was keyed by Jasmin Ayala, 36, of Manchester. The victim said the damages were about $10,700.

Video surveillance showed Ayala committing the crime, and police issued a warrant for her arrest.

She was arrested at her Manchester home on June 22 and brought to the Glastonbury Police Department to be charged and processed.

Ayala is charged with criminal mischief in the first degree, and was initially held on $20,000 bond, which she could not post. At her arraignment, the judge released her bond to a promise to appear, and she was released. She will next be in court on July 18.
